HAITI : GUN USED IN MURDER OF POLICE OFFICER, LINKED TO AN ORPHANAGE.

IGNATIUS GROUP___

NEW CONCERNS ABOUT THE SAFETY OF CHILDREN AT ORPHANAGES IN HAITI.

CHILD PROTECTION ADVOCATES WANT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF "ST. JOSEPH HOME FOR BOYS", MICHAEL GEILENFELD, TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT.

We want Michael Geilenfeld to issue a statement regarding two serious and ongoing situations involving two of his executive employees.

ATTEMPTED MURDER

In December 2012, Bill Nathan, Director of the St. Joseph's Home for Boys in Port au Prince, was arrested and jailed by Haitian National Police for the attempted murder of a former St. Joseph's resident who is accusing Geilenfeld of sexually abusing him when he was a child living in Geilenfeld's care.

It is alleged in the arrest report that Nathan slashed the man's arm with a machete.

GUN USED IN MURDER OF POLICE OFFICER

Please confirm or deny, Mr. Geilenfeld, that when, Richie Ruiz, a former resident of the St. Joseph's Home for Boys was recently arrested by Haitian National Police with a gun in his possession, Ruiz told police that he took the gun from Walnes Cangas's bedroom at the St. Joseph's Home for Boys.

Cangas is the Assistant Director of the Boys' Home. He works directly under Bill Nathan who reports to you.

It is rumored that this same gun has been traced to the murder of a Haitian police officer.

Further, it is being reported that the arrest of Walnes Cangas by police officials is imminent.
